Probus, 276-282. 'Heavy Aureus' (Gold, 22 mm, 6.52 g, 1 h), Ticinum, 278. IMP C M AVR PROBVS AVG Laureate and cuirassed bust of Probus to left, wearing aegis on his right shoulder. Rev. CONSERVAT AVG Sol, radiate and nude but for chlamys, standing front, head to left, raising his right hand in salute and holding globe in his left. Antike Kunst (1967), 511 (this coin). Calicó 4152a. Boldly struck and with an impressive portrait. Light scratches and with minor traces of mounting, otherwise, good very fine.
